DYNASYS was formed in 1988 by a team of advanced development engineers previously employed by General DataComm Industries, one of the world's largest modem manufacturers. Previous experience included the designs of high-speed digital modems and data-over-voice multiplexers. Upon start-up, DYNASYS received consulting contracts for developing custom modems from a number of data communication companies. These compact modules led to the design of hand-held computer boards featuring on board modems and bar code interfaces.
DYNASYS began providing unique interfaces into the worldwide market established by Psion for their hand-held computers. This led to the development of high capacity RAM packs, Touch Memory sensors, bar code and multi-port communication interfaces as well as a family of battery packs and power supplies.
DYNASYS became well known in the data collection industry for providing rapid response for unique product development. Currently, DYNASYS manufactures more than 60 of its own unique products. In addition, close OEM relationships with Psion, Extech, Dallas Semiconductor, Compsee, Hewlett-Packard, and other industry leaders led to DYNASYS distributing these manufactures' products.
